SpringHill Suites by Marriott Kansas City Lenexa/City Center

(If I could give 100 stars, I would!) I stayed at this hotel for nearly a month, and I can honestly say the service was impeccable. From the moment I checked in until the day I left, the staff made me feel not just like a valued guest, but like part of the family. Leadership & Front Desk: Roger, the general manager, went above and beyond to ensure that every single need was taken care of. Angela, the front desk supervisor, was always readily available, attentive, and incredibly kind—she made each interaction a pleasure. Food Services: Ginger and Tanya in food services deserve a special mention. No matter how busy it got, the food was always fresh and replenished promptly. Ginger—what a gem! We had countless fun conversations, and she made me feel like we’d been friends forever, always sharing the sweetest compliments. Tanya is equally wonderful, with all the qualities of a future supervisor or manager—watch out, she’s going places! Housekeeping: Cindy from housekeeping was one of my favorite people to see first thing in the morning. She’s warm, cheerful, and made sure my room was always spotless. After each cleaning, my room smelled amazing and felt like a fresh, cozy retreat. Special Thanks: Kia Peterson was instrumental in helping me coordinate my very extended stay, making the whole process seamless and stress-free. Location & Comfort: The location is fantastic—you can walk to grocery stores for your mini fridge, grab a bite to eat, enjoy a drink, work out, or even walk to work (in my case, at the hospital). The room was clean, comfortable, and consistently well-maintained. Suggestions: The only small improvements I’d love to see: an all-day coffee station for guests and some Greek yogurt or boiled eggs at breakfast for those of us who eat very healthy—these are staples at many Marriott properties and would be a great addition here. A Standout Marriott Experience: I’ve stayed over 250 nights with Marriott hotels, and this is the first property to ever give me a handwritten thank-you card, signed by several staff members, expressing how much they appreciated my stay and that I’d be missed. That thoughtful gesture meant the world to me and truly set this hotel apart. To everyone at this property—thank you for an unforgettable month. If I could give you 100 stars, I would!

Service was excellent! The hotel and rooms were clean & spacious! I only did a 4/5 star because the air is motion detected so when we were gone or in the middle of the night it would get warmer than my liking. Location was nice and had plenty of options around the area, just not very close to popular attractions or events. Breakfast staff was great at keeping things continuously stocked! The breakfast was pretty decent for options for a free hotel breakfast. The breakfast area was also very clean and well kept.

The highlight of this hotel is definitely the staff. We arrived after midnight the lights were on and still treated with a smile. During our four day visit one staff member shinned. Tanya was helpful with extending nights, providing local recommendation's doing it all with a smile. Parking is convenient, facilities are pristine. Great Choice.

We almost always stay here when we come to KC. Great location with lots to do in the area. The rooms are very nice though the opaque bathroom door is a little odd. Breakfast is very good.

Another nice SpringHill Suites. The parking was a tad inconvenient and strange that you have to go around the block to drive from the top level to the lower level of the garage.

Amazing location, really nice and friendly staff! Best Marriott experience ever! The rooms are also really nice and it's walking distance to public market and a lot of cool activities.

Out stay was pleasant. The place is very clean. Parking convenient. Breakfast was ok, coffee was lukewarm and oatmeal was extra thick and lukewarm...but ok. The rooms are actually small with their setup. The bathroom is directly at the foot of the bed and the door is a slider with a frosted glass insert. The light shines through so to turn it on in the night woke up my husband.... just not an ideal design, but still, very very clean.
